The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee for the City of Niagara Falls hosted a Youth Forum again this year on April 2, 2011 which served as an outlet for youth to express their recreation and leisure needs within the city. The open space and organic concept of the Forum produced new, innovative ideas for the City to adapt and act upon. An online survey was posted with several youth voting on the importance of the topics that were raised. The results of the Youth Forum were compiled into a report and forwarded to the Mayor and City Council, the Recreation & Culture office, many community partners, and to all high school principals.
